The Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District offers a variety of inspiring musical programs, classes for all ages and a Community Band summer concert series held in July.

Community Band

The Camarillo Community Band is open to any adult who plays a band instrument. They hold rehearsals in order to perform a series of concerts during the month of July and a holiday concert in December. A number of different conductors lead the group and high school students can audition to join the band.

Seniors of Note 

The “Seniors of Note” band practices at the Community Center every week. They are an eighteen member ensemble that plays “Big Band” music and enjoy having an audience listen to them practice. They are featured four times a year during dances held for seniors in the community.

Ukulele Strummers / Classes

This fun group enjoys playing the small four-stringed Hawaiian guitar. They meet to practice and play simple fun songs three times a month. Adults of all levels are welcome to join the group.

Ventura County Classical Guitar Group

The Ventura Classical Guitar Society invites the public to join them for jam sessions and talented special guest performers. They present fine classical guitar music played by amateurs and professionals alike. Their meetings are open to the public and admission is free.
