Are there any insurance requirements?
Those reserving Indoor District Facilities must provide an original Certificate of Insurance or purchase insurance through the District. If you are serving alcohol at either an indoor or an outdoor event, you must purchase alcohol liability insurance through the District.
The minimum liability coverage is one million dollars per occurrence.
The certificate must contain a minimum 30-day cancellation clause.
Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District must be named as the certificate holder and as “Additionally Insured.”
A separate “Endorsement Letter” (also with PVRPD named as “additionally insured”) must be attached to the Certificate of Insurance.

Availability—how can I find out if a facility is available for the date I want?

Can I decorate the inside of a facility if I have a permit reserving the facility?
Decorations are permitted when a facility is reserved, so long as the decorations do not deface and/or leave any markings or residue on PVRPD property. Lit candles, glitter and confetti are not allowed. Balloons or flowers are good decorations.
Can I have alcohol at my event?
Alcohol is permitted with a reservation and an additional alcohol liability insurance.

Can I have music, a performer (clown, magician, etc.), catered food or a DJ at my event?
Most vendors are permitted at most facilities, so long as insurance is provided prior to the event date.

Is overnight parking allowed in any of the parks?
No, there is no overnight parking allowed in any of our parks.
Is there a fee to reserve an indoor facility for a party or event?
Yes; the website provides a complete list of the costs for each facility.
Half of the total cost is due at the time of the initial reservation, the second half of the balance being due at least 30 days prior to the reservation date.
When will I receive my refundable cleaning deposit back?
You will be refunded your cleaning deposit approximately 3 – 4 weeks after your reservation date, as long as your party kept the facility clean with no damage, the trash was placed in the trash receptacles and all decorations removed; if you pay by cash or check rather than a credit card, your deposit may take longer to process.
Will tables, chairs, linens, etc. be provided for my event once I’ve reserved a facility?
Tables and chairs can be provided for a facility reservation; a customer service representative will go over what kind of set up you would like for your event.
