Jordan Roberts, At-Large
Jordan Roberts has served the City of Camarillo and County of Ventura for the past 17 years as a member of the Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD). Initially hired as a firefighter/paramedic, Jordan found a home as a “First First Responder” (dispatcher) with the VCFD Fire Communications Center after breaking his femur.
He and his wife Jessica, a talented photographer and PVSD substitute teacher, recognized that Camarillo was the idyllic place to raise their two daughters and moved to Mission Oaks just prior to the birth of their 2nd daughter. Their daughters have been active in many local organizations including AYSO Soccer, Camarillo Cougars Cheer, Monka Soccer Academy, Dance Alliance Camarillo and Camarillo Girls Softball Association. During non-COVID times, you can find Jordan refereeing down at Pleasant Valley Fields on behalf of his daughter’s AYSO United team.
Working for VCFD and the County of Ventura has provided Jordan with the basis for his platform: Fiscal Responsibility, Community and Collaboration, and Access and Equity. He plans to bring the good governance modeled by VCFD and County of Ventura to PVRPD to ensure all citizens and organizations are well served with current resources. Jordan has a future-focus and plans to modernize District technology and operations to ensure long-term sustainability.
Jordan is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Integrative Biology, UCLA Daniel Freeman Center for Prehospital Care, CSUN Masters in Public Administration-Public Sector Management Leadership and a certified Emergency Number Professional. He also serves as a School Site Council member for Tierra Linda Elementary School and as an elected Trustee of VCERA.
